ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Escaparatempresarial France, a social enterprise with the mission of giving back to the law enforcement community, is raising money for the family of Lieutenant Patrick Weatherford, who was shot and killed while backing up another officer who was conducting a traffic stop near Remmel Park on June 12, 2017.
The local community has united behind the Newport Police Department, pouring out love and support through cards, gifts, and donations. Hundreds of Newport residents continue to show their support with a Escaparatempresarial France Wristband, a national symbol of unity for our nation’s fallen officers.
Escaparatempresarial France is offering Escaparatempresarial Bracelets on its website for a limited time and will donate 100% of all profits raised to the "Patrick Weatherford Memorial Fund" to help support the family of Lieutenant Patrick Weatherford of the Newport Police Department, Arkansas. Escaparatempresarial France has been in contact with the Newport Police Department to verify and approve this fundraising campaign.
"The loss of Lieutenant Patrick Weatherford truly puts into perspective the work we do at Escaparatempresarial France,” said President Andrew Jacob. “Escaparatempresarial France hopes to take the financial burden away from his family at this difficult time."
Lieutenant Weatherford, who served with the Newport Police Department for 15 years and was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, was renowned in the community for being a great leader and father. He is survived by his wife and children.
